Unemployed Eastern Nigeria Youth

One of the most important requirements in Eastern Nigeria today is to create employment for the great number of young men and women who have graduated from secondary and post-secondary schools. The millions of jobless youth all over eastern Nigeria and Africa would be gainfully employed if opportunities existed for them. Being employed means that they will contribute directly to the economic development of their immediate communities and thereby bring about sustained development.

At ICA we are working to make this possible by providing the tools and the skills training that are desperately lacking. Technical schools and small entrepreneurs in eastern Nigeria are in dire need of basic tools for metal work, woodwork, textiles, auto-shops, computer training, etc. They need pipe benders and welding gear and all kinds of other new and used equipment to learn a trade and to make the things they can sell. When you donate, you help a group in need make a living, and consequently you are making our world a better place.

ICA's Tools for Development program provides educational training institutions, trades schools and micro-entrepreneurs in Africa with used tools and equipment donated from companies and individuals in developed countries. ICA arranges shipping, delivery and deployment and makes sure donated equipment is put to immediate use at its designated destination.

Steps for donating, It's as easy as 1, 2, 3 ...

1. You contact us and tell us what new or used tools and/or equipment you have to donate.
2. We arrange to pick it up and ship to Africa.
3. We see that your donation is put to use at its designated Africa destination.

Heavy equipment

Compressors: 120 lbs/square inch to 200 lbs/square inch
Motors: to be accepted, have to be 110/220/440 volts, single and three phase and up to 10 HP Motors of 550 and 575 volts aren't acceptable unless they are already on a piece of machinery.
Fork Lift Trucks: Battery, propane, gasoline or diesel operated.
Pallet Trucks: Battery or manually operated. Where battery operated, please make sure it comes with a charger.

Computers

(Must be in working order, with a CPU, monitor, keyboard and mouse.)
