Health
Prevention & Treatment - Eastern Nigeria & Africa
AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria
alone kill over 4 million people each year in Africa and the numbers are rapidly growing.
Malaria
for one, creates major problems in several parts of Africa, but its effects are more pronounced in
Eastern Nigeria, where 100
people per square kilometer are potentially exposed. (see
map)
ICA is working
with international development partners to find and deliver
the appropriate preventative (example,
mosquito nets)
and therapeutic solutions for people
in sub-Sahara Africa. We will continue to participate in the
fight against these awful diseases as long as we can find
resources, especially from international donors.
